Summer Air Travel at Boise Airport: What You Need To Know

For the past two years, the Boise Airport has set records for total passengers served and it’s on track to have another record setting year. Here are top tips to make summer air travel safe, stress-free and enjoyable:

NEW PARKING OPTIONS

There are three parking garages in addition to long-term surface parking to serve you. The newest garage is the East Parking Garage, which opened last summer and provides over 1,100 close-in parking stalls. The East Garage has its own entrance. To enter the East Garage, follow posted signage and take the first left off the Airport Loop.

Additionally, there is curbside valet parking operated by the Car Park. The Airport recommends travelers reserve a parking spot in advance to guarantee availability of the curbside valet.

The lowest daily parking rate is $10/day at the Economy Parking Lot, located at Victory and Orchard (5600 W. Victory Rd.). It is serviced by a free shuttle that runs every 15 minutes.

ARRIVE EARLY

Passengers should check with their airlines to verify the status of their flight before arriving at the airport. The Boise Airport encourages passengers to arrive 1.5 to two hours before their flight to give themselves ample time to check-in with their airline and clear the security checkpoint before the flight. The Transportation Security Administration encourages passengers to double check their carry-on luggage to ensure that restricted items are not packed.
