BOI Cell Phone Waiting Lot

New Cell Phone Lot Opens Soon for BOI Passenger Pickups

Say goodbye to congestion in the current waiting area. This is a real parking lot, three times larger than the current one. Opens next week

Signage being installed at the new lot.

Beginning Tuesday, Oct. 15, the cell phone waiting area at the Boise Airport will be in a new, much larger location just a short drive away. The new location is a parking lot with individual stalls—no more pulling forward as others leave.

The new cell phone lot is adjacent to the Boise Airport Economy/Shuttle Lot and has its own entrance at 2950 S. Curtis Road. It remains free to use and is just 5-7 minutes from the terminal—about the same amount of time it takes a passenger to walk from their gate to the curb for pickup.

The Treasure Valley has grown tremendously since the previous cell phone waiting area was constructed. With the increase in passengers, the previous location caused congestion within the airport drive lanes, which blocked access to parking facilities and impacted motorist safety. The new dedicated parking lot can accommodate more than three times as many vehicles as the other waiting area—and can grow to accommodate even more.

The existing cell phone waiting area will close on Monday, Oct. 14 after the last flight arrives and will no longer be available. Please follow signs to the new cell phone lot or use a smartphone mapping app to navigate to 2950 S. Curtis Road.
